What is wrong with our community?

Just a 'quick' post because it's non of my business and i can't type as fast as my brain thinks, or is it the other way round?. I've read allot of posts about how GE and UK being independent entities is a good thing but remember it wasn't allways that simple and both communities have had there own problems over the years, the usual growing pains are to be expected, hell i'd say the UK site is going through it again right now with the NB alteration being forced on due to a vindictive banned prat of a poster.

You cant please everyone all of the time but dont be afraid of change nor sticking with what you have if it works. Today I was looking at the old UK Wireplay forum archives from 8 odd years ago and the sarcastic and venomous posts generated were much more hostile than i see here today which either shows the maturity of USAAC users or an iron rod style mod team and tbh i don't know either way.

I would say if you don't like it then create your own forums/ community and if your system is the real deal others will follow, or you can get involved and stop trying to stir the pot, ive seen forums die in the past because the community moved on to pastures new and it worked where as UK AA club has weathered many a flame-war. Remember its you, the people who make the community, whether you control the banner adds or not (which i havn't noticed here tbh.)

Listen, discuss, evaluate and make your posts shorter ffs :)

Duly noted Nitro, thanks,

Is there information you would like to post on this issue? I believe others would be interested in your experiences if you can write them without an "urgent" or "hostile" feel to it.

Information is information. Post it in a presentable manner, try as best as you can to not insult others. Dont let you or your information get dragged into flame or agressive formats as it will take away the value of the facts.

TY Silver Sides, great Input. The input from the GE and UK communities is Invaluable, needed and appreciated !

Just to say that it is my experience that the moderators here are not ruling with an iron hand. I just think there is more rational discussion of issues now than before and especially "back in the day". It is testimony to the leaders in the community as to the way things go down now.

Back in the day (dbe) the only time I was banned for being a bad boy was from my own CO USHA_KID who banned me for a few days for being disruptive and cursing. Too bad i didnt get any of that "favoritism" he gets accused of lol. And I hope we are all getting more relaxed in our days as they seem to pass faster and faster! Dam!

anyways, shorter, yes we need more shorter posts.

There is a reason for that. Politicians do that all the time. They would make long winded speeches to avoid addressing the real issues.
.. and just what is the 'real' issue in a topic that is about the 'web site' looks and improving it?

Say.. how come you never get "lost" finding this thread? I thought you had a navigation problem. I hope I fixed that for you.
