I hope I wont be worrying about LAND lol

For the lords sake I want to be killing people trying to kill me!

I expect to be in some sort of battle within 5 minutes of joining the game, anything from subs or planes to massive battles.

It would not be good if I had to navigate for 30 minutes before I was engaged, that would not make the MP very exciting at all.

So I say forget land and let me LAND a salvo on your ships turrets for ya!

Right on Rouge thats what we need.. :)

Reaves, I dont think so, and I dont think its a good idea either.

I for sure would flip, if i was battling you and all the sudden 10 new players logs on and 5 of them spawns next to us and sinks me (or you for that matter)

When you put it like that I agree =)

But maybe the term "instant" was the wrong word. I know East has already mentioned something about people not spawning within a certain distance of enemies (not sure of the distance).

I was thinking perhaps a port that was close to where a known battle was going on. If you've played WW2 online, something like that but as you said, not respawning next to you...

-Spawning at bases will be determined by what resources are available. If you attack a port that has plenty of resources, players will intervine by spawning in it. If you attack a port that has no resources obviously no body will be able to spawn in and attack you.

Im sure that if the one faction attacks a well guarded port, then as the other faction looses ships they can not respawn there.

When they choose to spawn in port X they should be notified that X is under attack, and is therefore not available to spawn in at this time, use port Z instead.

or simply if a port is under attack, then its not available from the map/pulldown menu or whatever the layout TAG chooses to use :)

I agree its all about action but I would bnot like to be landed in the middle of the action, might get caught in the cross fire and be dead before you know it so being able to approach the action from some distance is my prefered way.

That said I would still like to be able to sail around the world :)

Yup - spawning in the middle of a battle would be bad news. I wonder if you would get vulchers in naval sims as much as you get them in combat flight sims like IL2. In IL2 there are professional spawn killers who just hover over the airfield spawn points - not fun.
