Compass Degree Indicator Toggle

I would like to see a keybind that toggles this feature on and off. When on, as you are moving your mouse icon around the BTAC, it displays the actual compass degress/degrees off your bow that the icon is from your ship.

Also, I would really like to see a feature that would allow you click on a dot on the BTAC, then supply a directional arrow to that dots location when you are in topside, binocular or tactical view.

For example, if you clicked on T31's dot and it was 50 degrees port, when you looked through your binoculars (say, 50 degrees starboard), you would see a small arrow that would point to the left until you were looking at T31. This arrow could start at a given size and get smaller as you get closer to looking at the target.

I understand your point regarding the hard-core grognards, but the fact is, when playing on two-dimensional media while sitting at a desk in a house somewhere, you just don't have the same sort of situational awareness that you would have of your surroundings if you were there in person. Things like I suggest have always been, imho, a way of addressing this obvious shortcoming of gaming vs reality.

Interesting idea. However, I see this as being only available in Easy mode (hard core simmers might get upset!)

But don't forget that the B-Tac is a synthesis of things that you CAN see (radar, lookouts, etc)... so you'd be doing the equivalent of asking your first mate "where is that target?", then having him point you in it's general direction ;)
