Who Can Send Me A Mission Record File?

OK . This circumvent the difficult missions stuff ...

From step one :

Click start. OK ? ( Yes sme might not know ! )

Search:

Then on ' Files and folders'

Type in something like " Enigma " . You will then see a whole bunch of things appear .

Look for the name you use for campaigns .

If you try clicking a few things , you will see as many as six listings . These will be three surface and three sub campaigns .

Click behind the three letters ( USA LFN ,or ING ) of a campaign you have completed at least further then the one you are stuck at .

Type OUT two of the three letters .

Now Type OUT the three letters of the one you ARE stuck at .

Then , Type IN the letters again in the opposite campaign-- then go back to the first you typed out- and type in the other campaign letters instead -- Clear ? .

So, you have simply RENAMED the campaigns , and by magic , the problem will be solved , you will see , when you start the game !

( This of course means you must have progressed in the other campaign beyond the mission number you are stuck at - and you replay a few in the other . - It also saves emailing ! ) lol

Additional info:

when you search search for *.esc this will return your campaingfiles only

or you can simply browse to your Enigma Profile (located in C:\Program Files\....\Enigma...\Your_ PlayerName\

1st backkup the entire PlayerName folder

then rename a campaign *.esc file that you have completed to one you havent completed.

eg if you havent completed IGN Sub, but you have done USN Sub:

Rename USA Submarine Campaign.esc to IGN Submarine Campaign.esc

Note: I am not sure if you can cross them from sub to surf and visa versa...

Yes sub / sur are interchangeable .

Don't fully alter one , whether changing from sub/sur , or the factions , or it will be IDENTICAL to the second ; just remove a few letters ; for example leave U and type out SA , or last leters of surface/submarine .

Then , rename the second , and go back to the first , and fully alter to the second ! Clear ?? Maybe !

( Just think about it , it's logical !)

If you alter completely the first to be IDENTICAL to the second , that means the first is GONE ! In which case , unless you want to start again at mission ONE in that , no problem !

[Aren't those " * esc. things the very same as the campaign files , or whatever ? Anyways , it is those SIX files to look for ,, as I said 3 surface and 3 sub will appear if you look via search , and click on the name you use ]

OH , and if anyone REALLY wants to know another obscure piece of information - you can even just post files to yourself by email , to " save " them - and TOTALLY uninstall everything of Enigma - and swap from the UK to USA version ( Dreamcatcher )disc , and download files , and by magic you will be instantly Kapitan sur Zee in Dreamcatcher ! ] Try that at home .

Oddly . I have changed the logs , and when changed to the USA version CD , and the patches , with Cpt Maxiim's CD , all went fine .

Then I had to try reinstalling the whole toot , because a temporary problem in the SAPI ,or the voice command , which was not responding every time , despite doing the ' Voice training ' (which is in the windows XP - and worth knowing about - see postings here .), and despite reinstalling the Voice command , after trying a " repair " in the programs - add - delete . via control panel etc ,, So anywat reinstalling fixed the problem ..and more easily done too,, because of having the patches CD . Then -- I was no longer Kapitan zur See etc , in all Navies !

When I tried once again , as I had succesfully transferred my old ranks , from GMX UK CD ,, and succesfully experimented with interchanging sub / surface , and factions ,, all went easily , the downloaded files all returned me to former ' status ' .. But this time , after re-installing because of the voice command thing .. inexplicably , the files did not ' attach ' or whatever .. I did the same as I had done , but I was midshipman all over again ! I wonder why , or what I did that was different . Anyways ,, I am now climbing all ranks again ,LOL It's the only way ..

Did you remember to change your profile name to match the folder containing the old logs?

I believe the files I sent out were all "Jacques Sparrow" spelled exactly like the default name should be.. no changes that I am aware of or remember.

Basically install your game.

Then copy the saved files to the proper folder.

Open any campaign and click one of the timy numbers at the bottom of the screen to jump directly to any mission you desire.

If you still need help with files, finding the folder, copying etc.. I have posted a screenshot of the files in the proper place in one of the threads on this board.

Or you can join the voice chat and get more help while chatting and going through it one step at a time.

Thanks .

yes odog , I think you mean by profile files , the names used in lieu of Jaques Sparrow . Yes , i have done that previously , and every time it went problemless

( there's a new word )

Changing or renaming , interchanging from sub / surface .. all went well . and I tried that as experiment , and no problems .

Even when I changed to the USA CD , it all transferred fine ( I only kept one set of them to do so -)

I tried to tell azn 132 how to , exactly as I had done , after sending a set .

The puzzling thing is , I last did exactly the same again , ( after the voice SAPI thing made me resort to re-installing all again ) But it didnt change the ranks as before . A mystery .

Having the CD did make it a lot easier , instead of downloading patches tho' ., and as I say , everything was fine for some time .

Maybe I unzipped or something I didn't all the previous times .. altho' I am fairly sure I did it as before .

I hope you somehow managed that azn 132 .

Things will be back to normal when I finish all campaign missions again , anyway and the BS are back !

The new patrol missions are good , more variations .

Can even take a DD and give some of the enemy hell , instead of a DE !

I particularly enjoyed the " Swift cut of the sword " mission this way , blasted those two DEs and the four corvettes ! I'd have used a BS if it had been possible . LOL
