Your Favourite Sound Effects.........

For me it has to be the gentle splashing of the sea against the hull with all engines stopped. Nothing more relaxing after some fraught sub chasing than putting my feet up with a cup of tea on the bridge and watching the enemy sub slide beneath the waves one last time while the wind whips through the rigging and the sea slaps and gurgles around the bow hull - ahhh its the sea life for me!

Mine is when your hear the big bang when hitting a sub with a DC. Awsome when you manage to get a full spread (14 DC) on the sub, usualy against the I-15...

Mine is close to starshell's, I like hitting "do you whish to continue to play" on the patrols, stopping the engines and just enjoy the ocean, after the battle of course

Hmm, close run between the distant boom of Torpedo hits, the *Pow* of the Hood's 15" Peacemakers and the Splash of a Demon hitting the drink hehe:

The two-tone sound of the 4" gun and then 3" gun on a Lohengrin firing at an enemy vessel while I'm closing on the diagonal at flank speed. Nothing says business at hand like "CRACK-pow-chak, crack-POW-clank"

For me, it is without a doubt the sound of any aircraft as it plunges into the drink just off the starboard beam. The whine they make is very satisfying.

Just the starboard beam... port just doesn't have the same effect for some reason. Don't ask me.

Above all else, mine is the nice, slow hum of the engines of a Buckley, mulling around after a fight. The most satisfying speed is definitely full...

If I only had sound in E:RT, I'd tell you
