So where are the cruisers and battleships? Are they locked away in the later stages of the campaign??
As far as I know they will release more ships in the multiplayer game when it starts around xmas time. If you subscribe to MP you get free patches to upgrade as the war progresses. I think.....
I was led to believe that larger ships like HMS Hood will be in single player but not for player control at this time,

I think Archer has it right.
The biggest we get to use in the SP version is the destroyer. The plan is to have the bigger ones available to the higher ranks in the MP, with some of the ships being multi-crew vessels.
I do remember East saying that the Hood will be in the fight somewhere in SP, I just haven?t confirmed it yet.
Part of the payoff in the campaigns is to be in battle with the big ships. There are many ship types that aren't seen in the singleplayer (and not just because they aren't done!). We'll start posting some as we get further down the year.
Well, don't get me wrong, I really like the game. But don't you think it's kinda wrong to put a statement like that on your website under "features" and then not have those features? I look forward to MP and as I said, what I've played of the single player thus far is outstanding (barring a few unexpectd ctd's) but I feel just a bit mislead by what I read there vs what I have here...
yeah you might change that to something mentioning addon patches... ww2ol made that mistake and lost a lot of players.. i wouldn't want to see that happen again to someone =/
Thank you and I agree, we will update it. The only thing not in the game currently are Cruisers and Carriers. Battleships (technically battlecruisers) are in the single-player.
