Sorry for the delayed response, been busy last couple of days.
My statement about the Barbarossa at it was originally designed was wrong. As you guys say, it was a beast, to be sure. The second version is what threw me. Don't get me wrong, I love the look of these old ships. WWI naval combat holds the the pinnacle of my interest in all of the history of warfare.........before aircraft ruined it all.

But, when I'm in combat with this thing, I'm thinking about those two 5"ers on the unengaged side, hitting power to weight ratio, concentration of fire, effeciency of firing arcs, etc. East, if you would do as you say and replace the 4" guns with 5" (is the 6" available? rolleyes: ) that would really make a lot of difference, imho. The lack of speed bothered me even more than the guns, tho. 24 knots is just too slow for any DD. I also would like to see those open guns with splinter shields. It is spooky enough on those ghost ships without an open main armament being unmanned as well.

The casement guns look very cool, on the other hand.
East, thanks for your attention, interaction with and response to members of this community. That will go a very long way to insuring success for ERT and fun for everyone.
