Can't Install Usa 2.1.3b Patch

is there another download link for b patch? uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled and removed all registry entries, tried other operating systems with fresh install, still getting "target replace file corrupt" error. in xp pro, creates error and closed by windows. when re-run, target replace file corrupt.

We gotta get East to paste the MD5 and/or CRC32 sum for the files, so we can check, I downloaded all 3 patches and i testet them, no one failed to extract, but that doesnt rule out the installer being bad.

I also get the "Target replace file is corrupt" error. I have tried to uninstall and re-install. I have downloaded twice. No joy.

howdy, jesper. to be more specific with my installation problem, my machine is multi-booted. i have windows 98, ME, XP pro. b patch won't install on any of the three operating systems. so, i tried a fresh ME install, then installed enigma, then a patch. b patch still has same error. so, i've ruled out enigma file and registry corruption. i've unzipped with winzip, winrar and windows compressed folders. same result. checked archive with winrar, no errors found in archive. hope this helps.

p.s. sorry about my ranting, i really like this game, b patch has me curious, but won't install. lol. keep me informed on what i can do. also, the klm sub mission 3 was supposed to be corrected, won't complete, wondering if you had any info on the possible micro patch. thanks. i'll keep looking.

The installler cant be bad cause other players have it installed.

Do you have an AntiVirus running while attempting to install?

Update:

I just heard from another player that he couldnt install.

He had the exact same problem and tried to reinstall and all that

once he got to install 213b it errored out.

He found out that his RAM was bad, you might wanna check yours too.

unzip, insert a floppy to your drive, then run the install.bat reboot, enter your BIOS make sure its set to boot from floppy as the 1st choice. save and exit setup, boot up on the floppy.

Let memtest pass all 9 tests atleast once (takes about 20 mins with 512mb ram)

Yes, I installed the game from cd then 213a then tried 213b. No go.

I will check my memory as well.

tested memory chips, ok. used several programs that i also have, all test ok. i have a feeling it's the starforce causing the problem. tried installing with nothing but system tray and explorer running. no go.

Try uninstallin Enigam, running scandisk, (or chkdsk /f if windows NT or XP) and see what happend, your hard disk may have a bad sector or something. For futher use of chkdsk look it up in www.technet.com
