Regarding the ability of creating our own missions later on.
Is it going to be fair basic, or will it allow a fair scope for varied creativity?
Such as having triggers (for sound clips eg dialogue or sound effects, tiggering events/conditions, timers etc) Would be cool to use dialogue sound or text for a story woven on board a sub or ship to events in mission, such as a mole or sabotageur.
The voice command for like confirming an order or giving a negative, it seems to be there already but not in use yet?? Could be a condition for triggers within a mission when you are faced with a decisions from crew or events, could be which repairs you chose to make, or a mutiny aboard just when things get critical and your ship is immobalised for a time etc. This can be text based and audio voice clips if the mission maker wants to use them. But it would make the game alittle more immersive. Things could happen onboard or new orders affect morale etc
Is it possible to have a basic camera view option?, where you can perhaps jump player to an event elsewhere for a moment- or you might want start the mission following a plane which has important documents on it or maybe the plane crashes the pilot had ejected and he is picked up by an enemy patrol boat. You could have a outside view shot of that patrol boat picking him up and have dialogue on the bottom of screen - the pilot might of been interogated.and the player learns something about the storyline These are just ideas that could be used with such a camera view option within the editor.
There would be alot of guys out there who would want to make quality missions (right?), and people can post em for everyone to download. Keeping the game fresh with new missions, also creating campaigns with their own story line.
Any new ships and models, planes etc can be updated and added to the mission editor as they become available. No doubt a mission editor competition would be held officially or by the ERT fans themshelves.
It would also be nice to have extra models such as floating debris (boxes, oil drums, oil slicks, life jackets etc, liferafts, on the bigger scale small islands, ports and docks etc. Some of the smaller objects could have a colour menu to change texture and colour for variety since common objects would be bland if they are the same in all created missions). What about parachutes for say downed pilots and perhaps spys that need insertion near a coast or something.
The more creative flexiability the longer people will keep making missions and people will play them. Keeps them coming back.
The Future- one can *dream* the game will be even more of a different world:
Ert perhaps will one day also touch soil and have like small islands where there are landable airstrips, hangers for aircraft repairs and refueling, and docking bays with player controlled soldiers manning the AA guns etc, bunkers, guards on patrols (what about being a guard dog?

) from night time sneak attacks by SAS like soldiers (role limited to certain players with high rank and experience points- keep numbers down and also have incentives for regular players) whom have come via submarine/boat to sabatoge. Navy Divers?
Beach assaults, that need support from Sea and Air. Truck supply lines (like oil tankers and supply ships players can play for free and earn er..game points to save/spend on a months free sub. later on.)
Number of soliders on an island could be relative to island size, same with troop carriers and landing crafts limited number to each fraction. When one sinks another can be created, from the main fraction base.
This of course would be suited to a Pacific Multiplayer Campaign of course.
But the heart of all the main combat and strategy still will be on the water.
Now since i'm rambling on like i'm suffering from sun stroke after being on a half sinking liferaft for weeks on end, and you're still reading this far- i'll add there would have to be military police in the game to make sure some players aren't purposely trying to slow down the supply lines either on sea or land. Wait huh2: But then you would need lawyers and a court to make sure justice isn't corrupted by abuse of power and all that.

It's getting complicated now eh.
Well ok, you can committ me to the deep now.
