Smokescreen Generators

I would like to suggest that smokescreen generators be patched into the game as soon as possible. It is inconceivable that such a basic piece of wartime equipment has been left out.

A couple reasons why adding smokescreen generators would benefit the game:

1) They would add a new tactical element to the game.

2) They would help escort vessels when retreating or covering the retreat of convoy ships.

3) Because actual warships had them back during the WWI/WWII period. To leave them out removes not only a valuable tool (and a tactical option for local commanders), but also contributes to the dilution of an otherwise excellent game.

Smoke screen generators were left out because we haven't found a convincing way to have them (along with everything else we have onscreen) without turning the game into a slide show. It is on our list of technologies that need to be added and as soon as we are able, it will be added.

And a good one. Was about to ask myself, when I saw this thread. Been reading up lately, and they used smoke an awful lot. Pity it would bog down the game...
