Help ! German Sub Mission 4

Hi guys, I have just started playing ERT and I currently trying to stop my convoy getting fried by two destroyers (mission 4 german sub). Is there a particular tactic for attacking destroyers or for this mission ?

My tactics so far have been to close the gap between them and me as quickly as possible to give me more time before they inflict loads of damage....but it dosn't seem to work very well, as when they come at me head on dodge my torps, they end up behind me, doing what they do best to my convoy ships. By the tiem I turn round I have no convoy left !!!

Any help would be great.
