The Wren is the Wren . How can someone think it could be a sub,,,? and the whole history story in Enigma is woven round that " Wren incident " ..From the orders , ( if one reads them ) it's plain to see what the Wren is .. anyway .... That's what I see .

LOL oh ok sorry I hardly read the orders and only when I cant get through a mission.

I though a Wren was a bird?

You are right Bottom Dweller .

I must play both these missions yet again .

Maybe BOTH subs are told to head South !

Something seems to be happening which isn't right , you really have tried all possibilities.

Could it really be since installing a patch ?

Sheepdip You mention no trouble prior to patches .

Going to check that LFN sub mission orders again now LOL

I have the US version. I have had this trouble from the start.

With the Out of the Box first version.

With the Beta patch

Uninstalled the Game and Reinstalled

With the Offical patch.

I has not mattered which version. I have finished the American Sub and Surface and the RNE Sub and Surface. I am on the last IGN surface mission but as you know I am still on the 3rd Sub level.

I know I can't be the only one who has this problem.

Maybe East can help.

I played them again . LFN sub 1 and the IGM sub 3

Yes , both have orders about heading South . Altho on my versio that is only if you press F4 , you can read that line.

Anyway , best to ask East I think , because it doesn't add up . Whatever you do , or not , you still lose.

The FFL is the CV, that is the RNE Corvette type. The RI is the American-Jap sub. In the second log, I was able to chase the Sub away and fire a couple of shot over the bow of the Wren. She agreed to stop for boarding. I parked next to the Wren. I got a msg for my First Officer saying, "That was harder that i thought" or something like that. The FFL (CV) came after me and started shooting. I then sunk him. Went back to the Wren and sunk her. Chased the sub down and sunk him. Drove south on the surface and below. I have never gotten a ending misson msg. I get bored after awhile and ESC out to the port. This one has got me stumped.
Maybe I have a special copy. NOT.

This sounds about like what happens to me. I can't prevent the Wren fomr beign torped by the RI, I'm not going to try...unless I have to to win the mission.

I've killed the RI sub, and the American ship, and went south at flank speed for 25 mins, no ending to mission. I've just tried running south...no ending., I've tried just killing the american ship that attack me after it think I destroyed Wren...no ending...I reinstalled game, applied patches again 213b...no ending...

wtf is up with this
