Training or practice sessions?

#1
Hey guys, I'm wondering if there will be some sort of training/practice sessions?  I know I need help with combat maneuvering, especially when there's someone on my tail.  I die 99% of the time someone gets on my tail.

I've watched a bunch of videos on youtube but I can never seem to manage to perform the maneuvers they do.

If someone is really good at maneuvering like that, I'd like to get together and do like a custom game or something so we can practice together.

I think this would be really beneficial for everyone, no matter if we're just in arcade battles or if we're in some kind of tournament or a match against other squadrons.

Pontifex,  I agree!  FlyingMole and I have set custom battles when we want to share ideas in the past.  We have briefly discussed using this method more often.  It is the perfect venue for practice/training....controlled environment, no hostiles, no time constraints....plenty of time to practice, experiment, discuss, share, and learn.  I know some clans actually have scheduled training and practice sessions.  Honestly, I don't feel enough players would utilize practice/training time to warrant a designated weekly session, but I would absolutely encourage players to individually arrange times to come together for development of skills.  Game experience has provided each of us with tricks and techniques for different planes and situations that could/should be shared with anyone who is willing to listen and learn.  Let's set up a custom battle next time we're on together and work on some things. Anyone and everyone is invited to participate!

I took a look at that training page and now think that all new pilots really ought to look at it to augment their capabilities.  I was amused that the maneuvers I muddled out on my own after going through hours in flight sims were actually printed and named decades ago.  The Cuban 8, Half Cuban, Immelman turns, barrel rolls, vertical reversals, hammerhead turn, etc. have all given me a means to turn from being the object of pursuit to being the hunter-- quite frequently, it happens in less than 5 seconds.

If you guys need some help in training some people who would like to learn the basics of the game or more advanced techniques I am more then willing to share what I know. I am more proficient in Fighter's then most others (intercepting is anther thing I am good at when needed). I can teach some about bombers and ticks to get that other pesky fighter off you're tail. So if you would like to learn let me know.
