Thinking about chnaging my name in game

I'm thinking about changing my name in game. Would I have to re-apply to the squadron if I do that or does it follow the name change?  I'd probably have to change it here as well, just to eliminate confusion.

 

Not sure what I want to change it to yet. Is there a way to see if a name is already being used in game?

I honestly cant answer this from experience, but I do not think it would affect your squadron membership.  If it does,  just reapply and we will approve.  I'm also sure it would notify you if a call sign you choose is available or not.  You might try searching for desired names through the search option under your in-games friends tab?  I believe they also amended the regulations for name changes...the first name change is free and then you must use gold eagles for every change afterwards.  As far as changing your name in the TOW forums,  that's above my pay grade!  hah
