Blockade Running

I ventured to my hangar in Vylade....there sat (or hovered I should say) my recently outfitted Drake "Thor's Hammer". After losing ships previously to pirates due to being warp scrammed, I fitted this baby with FOUR warp stabilizers this time. If this didn't work, I don't know what would. I boarded the Hammer and powered up the engines. I had my cargo loaded with some missiles for me, some analyzers for our fearless CEO and some hydrogen isotopes for our corp's POS. Mooring thrusters clear, we departed space dock.

All systems nominal, I plotted course to the null sec system where there was a wormhole to our station. 27 jumps away....a mighty trek indeed. All quiet until the last 7 jumps. As I approached the first null sec gate, I saw a velator hanging out on this side by the gate. No doubt, he was a spy to alert a gank camp on the other side. I paused and gathered my senses and hit the jump button. Sure enough, four enemy ships at the gate on the other side. Alerts sounded that they were attempting to warp scram me but my stabilizers earned their value today. I punched the warp button and I was off to the next gate. A final message to the enemy before I jumped out "Nice try...."

The six other null sec gates were quiet. Only one warp bubble by one of them but luckily, I didn't get pulled in. Arriving at the last null sec system, there hung out my guide, LG. A brief salute and we were off to the wormhole and then to our station. Mission accomplished! Thor's Hammer has arrived.

I encountered a group of pirates while running supplies to the POS. The story isn't near as juicy as Dart's must-read below. They damn near got me. Near. LG
