Need A Dedicated Server To Use

FYI Guys.....

We need to start looking at using a dedicated server to fly 409 B1M flight ops from as a Group while on HL flying in a Dog Fight setting. The current state of affairs in the Okinawa 1945 server as of Monday Dec 15, 2008 now has large black holes on the Flight Deck of each carrier still afloat in game. These holes are a result of recent dive bombing attacks made by either the 47th, 200th Sentai's or by someone else basically rendering these ships almost impossible to launch from in either a Corsair or TBM with any amount of fuel and or ordinance load out in a static mode.

There used to be a dedicated landing carrier in game with the "Fleet" but that ship has been sent to the bottom as of a few days ago courtesy of "Capy" flying a Jap B6N Torpedo bomber.

Now, I know the VBF-12 has had some degree of success as of tonight dealing with this problem but I can just see how this would present lots of problems for average pilots in general to deal with.

Perhaps we can utilize the "TOW Sly-Birds" server and configure that server to our needs.

Ill also tell 4/47th Kabayo to fly his bombing missions on this one and maybe larry nolen and Phantom would give it a whirl

Rumor has it as of tonight that Sakagawa may be adding in an additional allied fleet with some other "stuff" to support extra Naval aviation on the Okinawa 45 server so we don't end up getting hog tied with destroyed flight decks like we did earlier tonight.

Quick solutions to fix this problem is to fly now BARCAPS in vicinity of the fleet to defend against enemy Torpedo bombers and or we land our bombers on their bases and engage their fighters on the ground with our B-25 turret gunners at their airfields. Ofcourse, we would need a CAP to support this tactic if we used it.

Ok sounds good. The 47th Sentai is now openly bragging on the 200th Forums that they have destroyed the allied fleet.

After flying around those ships, this is the first time that I've ever seen black holes on the deck of a carrier. This is very strange and odd and I had asked Sakagawa if he had done this and he said no. I guess now we need different tactics.

This is excellent and provides us with new problems to solve. I think its a great tactic on their part and I would be disappointed if we gave up flying that server as a result. It would seem to me a little like sour grapes and I dont think MCVG-2 is that way inclined. I am sure we can learn to cope with the carrier problem and we always have the island to launch from.

Considering the pictures of the japs getting pasted on our (vbf-12 and our own) forums, I am not surprized them advertising thier success. It will all help to get teh server notices in the general HL community - which must be good. I expect Saga will reset the server before the weekend anyway. He is doiing an excellent job...

Today, I tried to taxi around them holes on the carrier decks and regardless of what technique I used using 25% fuel and default weapons loadout, my Corsair didn't have enough speed to get off the carrier. Into the drink I went. I did this multiple times trying to figure a way to not flip over onto my back.

I don't know how Whitey is clearing the deck forward of those bomb holes on the carrier deck in a Corsair using 50% fuel and ordinance on a static carrier. He needs to show that technique in person
