A crushing blow in Okinawa... but it's not over!

The battle continues, we took a crushing blow with the crippling of our carriers... but we defended them and are still afloat. Here's some photos.













PS - We were able to launch Cats, Sairs, and Avengers with 50% and ordinance... just taxi around the holes!!

Its bad enough to launch from a static carrier deck and take any decent amount of fuel and ordinance load out. Its another to taxi around several large black holes in the middle of the carrier deck as well and hope you get airborne.

Having to fly with 25% fuel or 50% with no external weapons will just see you flying in the immediate vicinity of the fleet on CAP duty. You get into any extended dog fight and have to use your Boost, you will run dry pretty quick.

Its one thing to fly as a veteran pilot and use tricks you've learned along the way but I'm thinking of the new pilots who have little experience on carrier ops. A squad is only as good as its greenest pilot.
