Well, you could certainly start by buying photoshop : ). After that I would reccommend that you just google photoshop tutorials. In your case, adding "basic" or "beginner" to the search would probably help. Then just mess around with it and learn what all of the tools do, and after a little while I am sure that a good idea will come to you. I'll get you started with a couple of basic tutorials. Go to the bottom of this page and there are 3 tutorials that should give you an idea of where to start.

BobDude means well... The software is too expensive just to go purchase to make a siggy.. and would probably take you 3 months just to learn how to do it...

Read the topic in this forum: About this forum It explains how to request a siggy be made for you. Below is a little bit of the content from that post.
You can post a REQUEST for a signature here if you like. You must have your own upload space to 'host' that signature. Normally folks use a service like http://photobucket.com , etc. It is easy to upload your signature once you have one made.
If you would like a signature or avatar made for you, you can make a request via "NEW TOPIC". Only ToW and FLH members are serviced by the ToW Gfx Team .. however there are users who visit here that enjoy making signature and avatars that might be willing to help you out :) The ToW Graphics team will get to your request as time permits. No promise on the time it takes. In your new topic be sure to include most of the basics for size, type, personalization, etc... a Gfx Team member will probably contact you via PM to arrange a TS meeting where you can get down to detail.

I have CS3 already and started messing with it for the first time today making my Avatar. Thanks for the sight Bobdude and I will check on it and see what I can find. As far as the post, that is why I started the "New Topic" here for a sig to be made. TigerGixxer mantioned to post in the gfx forum but I have not seen anything for that spacificly, only this section here. I will keep looking and if I dont see anything I will send TigerGixxer a messege

Three things:

1. Layers

2. Look in Help for 'Animation' or just click the menu item "Window" then 'Animation'

3. Turn on/off layers between frames and use the tweens tool for blending between the animated frames.

Seriously, it's that simple

Hey Guys I know that Photoshop is a good program, but for those who can't afford that kind of cash check out GIMP.

It's actually a very powerful program and best of all it's FREE. I still don't have it all figured out, but there is a lot of helpful information around the web. To be honest with all of you my first time using GIMP was during the siggy contest. When I couldn't figure out how to do something with GIMP, I turned to my old standby Photo Filtre, also a free program that I have been using for a couple of years.
