New Rig - Maybe

Looks like a pretty tight system, Gos. If I were looking at that system, I would "downgrade" to Windows XP, but then you would only see 3.5 of the 4GB memory. I just can't get behind Vista.

Also, if I were approaching this purchase, I would find out specifically what the motherboard is, but I like to overclock my system. My rig has been running at 50% over factory (3.2Ghz vs 2.13Ghz stock) for 1.75 years. I have been doing distributed computing (Protein Folding) since day one on this rig.

The monitor has generally good feedback on NewEgg, so that's nice to know.

Seems like a nice setup, Gos. I'd give it a thumbs up.

Ya know gos i was thinking, you could build your own PC quite easily. Ive built 4 of mine and a couple for family members, If a Knuckle dragggin grunt like myself can build one, you should be able to do it in a weekend for about half that price. And tottally customized to your own rquirements, i shy away from Company built pcs theyre too prepriatory due to limitations in expansion abilitly. never ever get an HP or dell for these reasons. your forced to go thru them for upgrades at outrageous prices. and theyre filled with "Bloatware". Ie programs youll never use that take up spaceon your drives
