I have some good news...After further review, and the Assist of VBF-12 Gosling, Whitey, Daduck, and the hard work of our own Ranger and myself, we have discovered the keys to stable flights, as well as landings...even on the escort carriers...with the Avenger. It takes a lot of trim, Rudder, elevator, and Aero, in order to get her to level out, and the approach is a bit hair raising at first, but it can be done successfully. Part of Training Wednesday will be over the Avenger, so I want as many bomber pilots there as we can get. I will run the Training for the TBM's, and Rino will run the Corsair training.

I got a suggestion, we use the hell kittys to provide SEAD (SUPPRESION OF ENEMY AIR DEFENSES) IE taking out some of those Anti air picket ships, and creating a corridor the Tbms can fly thru to get to the objective target. that would make my life a lot easier, after they dropped all theyre ordinance, they could provide cap while My bombers are killing enemy target ships , and also draw away some of the flack from our TBMS, just an idea.

That can be a very good idea to use the Hell Kitties to be the initial eyes and ears and to clear a path then distract and draw away any possible enemy planes in the area then a few minutes later once the all clear is given by the F6F's and their escorts the TBM's start their run. Two F6F's with 3-4 Corsairs and the TBM's with the rest of the Corsairs as close escort.

Perhaps we can have a training sortie escorting the TBM's towards the Rota Island training range with the Corsairs providing close escort on Wednesday ?

I do like the idea of having an element of Hellcats fly as a Scout package towards the objective area to observe and report any possible threats and to help drag those threats away from the objective, meanwhile the TBM's with their escort flight of Corsairs come in and do their business. Image

As the TBM's cockpit is not particularly accurate I thought I would take a look around for pictures. Here's what I found:

The following are completely different and I have no idea which is correct but the above seems more accurate than those below:

MS Flight Sim, all simialr to the one above!:

Personnally I think that these Flight Sim ones are probably wrong and made from a rebuiild of a TBM, where as the TBM wreck suggests the top set are probably most accurate.
