It seems to me over the past few months, that "new" posts are not happening as much as they used to.

Once you start closing a post that you consider offensive to your tastes or that border on the "rule breaking", you start to lose people.

Pretty soon the posts that start arguements, friendly banter, or what have you become locked and people stop coming here.

Case in point, look at the UK site, they do close some threads but pretty much allow stuff to be commented on.

Most come by and view the posts to see the latest gossip, league stuff, or the newest arguement.

Drama happens and should be allowed to happen.

Look at how few come here now. How many 2 squad and SNL posts are there here compared to the UK site, I ask?

I am not sure there is a real good answer but censorship should have its limitaions as well.

From just a few months ago, the traffic and posts are way down, am I incorrect?

Most go to the UK forums to see the latest crap from coleslaw, yea he is a a trouble maker but it is entertaining reading his diatribe of crap from time to time.

Boring, chases the customer away, excitement brings the masses.

I am sure this will get some panties in a wad but let the masses speak.

Arguements happen, its the nature of the game. Friendly banter as well as the war of words, should be given equal airplay.

Everybody gets mad and eventually things calm down, some forgive and forget some never do but that is what makes the game exciting and this is what keeps people coming back to the forums.

Talk about family oriented site, please, have you seen the pics at the bottom of this forum from www.wasteaminute.com ? (Can't see this unless you are creating a post)

Chicks washing a car, almost nude and half naked girls dancing around! Hell yea, I say!

Lets not be hipocritical, OK.?

Censorship............is not the answer.
Is it possible.. your off the mark here?

>> No post have been censored .. ever to my knowledge. They are subject to the Forum Rules however.

>> No post have been deleted .. however they were moved to another forum. They are here however.

>> I know of no dictate to any member of the Mod Team to keep any type of argument or banter .. or nearly any topic off our boards. I do know the forum protocol will draw a line at how people speak to each other, name calling, etc.

>> I know of no "forum police" that dictate topics etc. I do know that those that like the "humor" type of post were given and entire forum to do so!

>> WE try hard to accommodate all .. what would you have us do when we receive complaints about the posts? Ignore the complaints (which are valid IMHO).. or try something different on a Temp Basis?

Everything .. that is done at the USAAC is done under the guidelines of the USAAC BoD. If those guidelines are not proper or need changing .. then an item on the agenda for the BoD is appropriate I think. When you give the police the law .. and ask them to enforce it.. they will.

All the arguments you give about 'why people come here' can be properly argued by some as to why people don't come here :) WE try to accommodate them all .. and its hard.
Drama happens and should be allowed to happen.
Surely you have seen plenty of drama .. yes?

If you really notice .. even the UKAA separates AA posts.

Are you seeing something WE are not? I've looked .. I can see all 'deleted' post .. there are none. There are post that were closed.

A Comment about the Ads.

The Ads are determined by 'content'. So when a Topic is first opened .. there may not be sufficient content for the correct and proper Ads to get targeted. What is supposed to happen when there is NOT sufficient content to focus a targeted ad .. then a public information type ad is supposed to be presented.

The http://www.wasteaminute.com/ site is SUPPOSED to be about Games. In todays internet trickery scheme of things probably Wasteaminute.com does not have the proper filters or moderators on hand and those 'entries' simply took advantage of the system. If in fact Wasteaminute does in fact endorse those type of entries on their site .. it won't take Google too long to catch up with that.

Hi Kids

I guess what is cosidered offencive to some is not to others.

I feel the post with the gay guys aimed at USHA was funny as heck.

Who would be offended with this? Heck kids see much worse than this on TV.

The two guys in the Nylon jumpsuits seemed more offencive to me and that one is still in there.

I think taking out the gay guys was going overboard.

Perhaps Hono has a valid point . the cencorship has gone to far.

And yes the posts and threads have gone way down.

I started a few posts that ruffled feathers.

But it did bring in coments from many players including pilots from the UK.

There was alot of drama but the respone was real good and the forums were busy.

Well thats my 3 cents.
