Popgun has asked me to put together a soccer team for and match against the BBC Squad.
We need at least 10 pilots for this event. This will be a trial event that may possibly turn into a international league event. All interest parties should make a post as soon as possible.
The time is not set in stone, so I do have some latitude in that area. I can move it up or back by to hours in order to accommodate most of our pilots.
Most of the BBC squad is WEST coast USA with some Aussies. We are mostly EAST Coast and Midwest USA which also has Aussie pilots.
SO let's here it, are you in or not! WHat time would you like to see it at.

I don't really liek that AA Soccer thing. I attended one that was open to all and all that happened was a half hour of confusion and arguements.

This thing that Popgun is trying to put together will never fly .. IMHO.
For the BSS .. they would be far better off with just a normal 'scrim' against BBC so it can also be used as "practice" time.

Well I have to disagree with both Jonny and Tbar.
I love playing the soccer game and it would make a very fun league event. Yes there are some difficulties with not having everyone on team speak, but if you put it together with a squad which has TS. then it will work a lot better. There are a lot of different things you can do in this game such as making plays, assigning player positions and such. An organized team could do really well with this game.
Anyway, out of the 6 times I have played this fun event. My team won 5 of the 6 games. I'm also one of the "Balls" that get to be the target for the other team and the scorer for our team.
Popgun told me I could go outside the squad to find pilots. I may have to do that to fly this one.
Here is a little synopsis of the game:
GB's goal line is the entire vertical line directly west of the US and SU base.
US's goal line is the entire vertical line directly east of the GB and GE base.
Everyone is flying the same plane too. Usually a Spitfire 14
To score the ball has to cross the goal line. Fly Glide OR Crash on the other side of the line is a goal.
There is a 3,000 ft alt limit. and all game play take place with in the limits of the bases.
The goal is to shoot down the opposing team's Ball(s). And to help your ball score.
Both teams balls are in the air at the same time. Game play is till both ball are shot down or score.
SO you can see that there are a lot of possibilities with this game. Put a defense and a offense.
I'm looking forward to flying this.

i'm not promising anything the way this tax season looks but if i'm off and can make it i will....i agree with Joker on that even though its a game and not ww2 it is still a game of offense and defense which if last i looked that is what war is all about is having good offense and good defense and most importantly......working as a team and not being macho i'm gonna take on the world by myself my 2 cents worth and others can do what they want but i will try to be there
