Someone Inform the NFL we're taking away their play books and the numbers off their jersey's. From now on they may only have their name on their jerseys. We don't car if your name is Van Landingham or Santayanarayan you figure a way of getting your name to fit your jersey so the fans can see it in the upper decks of the stadium.
In addition, anything representing and organized play will be penalized 30 days in the electric chair and life imprisonment and then we'll tack on 15 yards at the spot of the foul.
Further more contact MLB, NHL, NBA and MLS tell them their next. After that we move on to NASCAR, tell the Crew Cheifs to get those sanding pads out and start removing the numbers from the cars. Driver names only on the cars or we're are going to black flag the whole lot of them.

This discussion about MATCH tags is not important as long as the primary pilots name is in with it, as far as letters or numbers instead of the name that is another discussion but does make it hard on the ref, i guess.
The professional level of sports want the players name shown for marketing purposes, remember way back when they didn't have them on, only numbers?

If squads wont take part in TAA competitions because of this, so I can surely live with it, as any other host of competitions has to live with the non-attendance of Rb squad in future competitions because of unfair or half-cocked rules.

TAGS: It is an advantage to hide who is who. It is allowed and no need to discuss for present league. I was concerned when we moved to new server and it was determined to allow as many tags as you want. It may be reasonable to consider going back to where you can have only a certain number and that only 1 tag can be used for matches and it has to be registered.
BTW- for all the sports fans out there. Yes teams use strategy to help gain an advantage to win. We play to win! But I would dare to say that all the leagues mentioned in the previous posts have rules to adhere to. One of the most glaring rule is this ( which is on topic): uniforms have to meet a code. You don't see one teams numbers smaller or non-existent do you? Teams are not allowed to use certain types of equipment over others. There are conditions that have to be met for equality. Remember, this is a game and not war. There has been talk of war like circumstances and then game like.
The only option I see in sports is college football where the players name does not have to be across the back of his jersey. But the Numbers are all uniform and very viewable. get the point..... all opponents know who the star player is on the other team. OK>>>>next......
NUMBER OF PILOTS: should be equal in both halves once the minimum is reached. Period. All this stuff trying to get more GE than SU/GB is just a loop hole in the current rules. What I see happening is squads just field 6 the rest of the league to prevent it.
Alias in FFA: sometimes it is needed to prevent yourself being targeted. Almost all fly in FFA with alias at some time or another. I usually come in as Vipor and just let the mayhem begin. Target me and kill me as you can. I will get my fair share of kills and end up with a better ratio than most with any tag. Using your own tag will help you be a better pilot if you are popular. Again, a topic to reduce the number of tags allowed in the game for each registered user. We did not have this problem at zone where you had to pay for each tag! And it was much more fun b/c we all knew who everyone was. Now I have no clue who is who until I log in KAARMA to check, which is a luxury that only a few have.

Ok, so the majority thats looking at this bs thread get to vote? So you, tulla, Gelp, Noodles, and mabey 10 others get to vote but not the whole community that isn't looking at this? Sounds fair.Ok Fury, I get your point, but as far as I can see you are the only one that wants to keep the hidden tags.
All the other match rules are generally decided by the majority, so I assume if the majority wants "open" tags, that is what will happen in future Leagues.
OHHHH Well I want to start public voting as you have Temp, I want to vote on when your flying a K4 you can only be at 2k and you can only fly GE on Fridays, and Mondays , Also no shooting until you have passed by 4 planes then you can engage but you can only shoot 1 bullet no more then that or your booted. Anyone that wants to fly GB has to wear a thong and it has to be white with lace around the edge, I will except baby blue but only for 2 hours from 9-11..but after 11 you have to go thongless or you can't fly (im sorry but thats how it is) but this is set only after 9pm Central times and all the sysops will have the times posted for everyones time zones cuz it seems they have nothing better to do then sit and think bs up. On Sundays, ONLY Sundays you can fly SU OR US but you have to fly at 4k only!!!! Not any higher or lower period! And people with any tags, be reduced down to only flying 1 tag period, oh also it needs to be the one that everyone knows PERIOD! If an unrecognizable tag enters the room the sysops have the ability to blow up your comuter and you will be banned from any flying game forever and I mean forever! On Holloween you must wear a witch costume and pretend your flying around on a broom while in FFA only! This means you must get a broom from your local store if you don't have one already and the sysops will know if your sitting in a chair due to the camara you need to set up for them to watch you! If you don't have Holloween in your Country you can't fly that day PERIOD! ok LETS VOTE!
Also lets try to remember that in the game of football the players are looking at just a # as they are looking at eachother not having there backs toward eachother showing there name and most #'s on each players are close like for example 80, 81, 82, # 83 is the star but most of those guys can't remember there own name cuz they been hit in the head to many times so they can't remember whos who anyway, they just remember they have to block or stay with 1 guy or need to block or stick with just 1 #.
