I bought the game and played it now for 3 missions. but where are the pilotable battleships, merchants etc. ??

i only bought the game to command the big ships. if i want to play only with DD`s i install DestroyerCommand from UBI

isnt it possible to add them via patch to the game?? there is no good game available where you can pilot the big ships!
you can pilot the big guns in multiplayer when it is released around Xmas

The "official site" was written by the GMX guys and isn't what you will find on the warfleet.net (Tesseraction Games) site. Battleships (Battlecruisers actually) you can fight against or alongside. Merchants, Tankers and Oilers in singleplayer are just too boring to force a player to pilot.
The big ships are designed to be multi-player vehicles. We are looking at patching the game for Christmas to allow you - IF you can get the rank - to command a BattleCruiser level ship, but that is still in the design stages.
this is false advertising on the back of the game cover they don't speak of muliplayer game and they say we can pilot battleship ...
There is a very rare possibility that you can, but the odds of winning the lottery are better. It's more of an Easter Egg
Battlecruisers? what do ya mean? will there be any ture battleships (like the bismarck and prince of whales?). i now a Battlecruisers is really just a battleship with less armour and more speed, but are there going to be listed as such in game? (like some listed as BB such and such or BD such and such)?
