Gotta agree with Ragamaar. If you're gonna give dkp-free gear to MTs and thus screw over other Warrs for the benefit of the group, then the MT should get reduced or no DKP. I do see the benefits of this idea, but you would impair the others too much if you don't even out the score a bit.

Thing is that the DKP system is already designed to give frequent raiders better gear than people that don't join every time. DPS warriors already complain that they lose spots over MTs effectively costing them DKP. Now you want to gimp em more? MT has a guaranteed spot in every raid because we need em, thus they are yielding more DKP then the DPS warr that is sometimes left out due to lack of space.

I don't think the group will benefit from people leaving over this. Even if it is because this is the last drop.....

Don't really get your response Weer. Are you in favor yes or no? The tanks (well the mentioned tanks) do get it first BUT not for free, they pay DKP for it. And as I understood it's not obligated for a tank to accept the gear, but IF they want it they get it first. And I don't quite agree that you say DPS tanks loose their spots over MT's, cause our MC groups are 1. never full so everyone gets to come and 2. having 5 real tanks is kind of useless so we embrace DPS warriors. With that, 2 of the tanks are druids so warriors don't have to fear them. And the druids are also almost the only druids we have so don't think that will be a problem :P

Edit: that pic, is that you? :P

As we're setting up rules regarding specific item drops can we consider putting to use a system as used in for instance lickmyear:Copied from the Lickmyear pages, all copyright belongs to them.source: http://lickmyear.org/azs/loot.php
Special CasesThere are always going to be some items which are open to interpretation. 2H Maces that warriors and shamans or feral druids can use. Or mail that's nice for shamans and hunters. I'm afraid that in these cases, someone will always be annoyed (and it will probably be me, Dok, making the bad call); so, the raid leader has final decision. And apologies if we get things wrong. I'm sure it will happen once or twice. Just remember, another item will drop eventually, and when it's your turn, it might be even better. Here's a rough and ready guideline*, though:

Any armour slots (ie, plate, neck, ring, trinket) Armour / defense / stamina
warrior

AGI
hunter / rogue

atk power
hunter / rogue, maybe warrior if these guys don't want

ranged
hunter, rogue, warrior

2H weapons with STR / STA / high dps proc
warrior or maybe rogues

2H axe with other stats than above
shaman / hunter, maybe warrior

Daggers/ mace / sword with aggro proc / sta / defense etc
warrior

1H dagger / mace / sword without above
all melee classes

+crit on staff
mage

+crit on melee weapon
rogue or maybe hunter or warrior

*) see the items page for specific classrestrictions, this table does not guarantee anything, it's merely a guideline. It should be noted however that even if no classrestriction is set cloth items should always go to a clothwearer first, leather to a leatherwearer and so on. That means that a cloth item with +spelldamage will always go to a warlock or a mage instead of to a balance druid, unless the clothies pass of course.
This to assure some classes aren't wrongfully outbid by some other classes. We are now at a point where we can down 4 bosses in one night. It would be nice to discuss these things before the really deadgiveaway items start dropping and u get disappointed people because we now only have the: "if u have enough dkp, its yours" rule without any siderules.

Well, when the GM's discussed this first I did look through the lickmyear list and I didn't think it fitted Tribes philosophy (loosely, the sum of all the parts > min/max of individuals). Of course, sometimes when the raid hangs on one indiviual i.e. the Main Tank, then exceptions need to be made. Which is what we've done.
