East is/was TAG. There is no TAG "falling out" here that would prevent East from continued work on "Chapter 2". The work stopped, because the company went out of business. The Lic for the product I'm sure he can get easily .. paying all the programmers and support staff is another story.

The 'falling out' you speack of is pretty much one sided and has nothing to do with "TAG", and everything to do with Deep Six and East. He simply got mad and left with a departing post. If members here want to ask hard questions .. so be it. Enigma will continue to be supported by players and staff at Tides ..

I simply meant that the feelings he expressed might indicate a lack of interest in pursuing it now. That would be a shame, if true.

Contrary to TOWF's erroneous report, Tesseraction Games is not out of business. Our board of directors, of which I am the chairman, elected to divert all assets to pursuing the lawsuit we recently won against GMX. We are in active talks with 3rd parties regarding future Enigma development. There will be additional Enigma titles over the coming years. I'm only sorry I can't say with certainty when you could expect the next one, or what form it would be.

As to the falling out, no falling out is one sided. We had originally partnered with Tides to help them build a community by letting these be our official forums; in hindsight this was a mistake. We no longer support these forums or Tides of War. If you want to ask "hard questions", try asking me directly since anyone else's responses will generally prove to be conjecture, bias and wishful thinking.

You can contact me directly at: kellya@tesseractiongames.com

or you can post in the Enigma forum on the Deep Six forums: http://www.deepsix-online.com/phpbb

Hey East,

Good to see ya again, you told everyone you would not post here anymore, happy to see you changed your mind and keeping us informed .. :)

If my report has errors, its only because we have not been informed by TAG of anything different from other collective posts you have made as a TAG representative .. sorry for any error that may be present. Last public and official word any of us had is posted here:

Tesseraction is heading a different direction than I am, no room for new development there. I've got a loyal and talented team and am in the process of getting a new studio together.
I may be in error, but the impression you gave to us and the general public is what I stated .. out of business. Technical differences between TAG being "in business" and "out of business" doesn't matter, what matters is that no further effort is being made by TAG on Enigma or Multi Play that has been presented to the public, therefore to Tides and it's members TAG is out of business. The subject here is games and the game of Enigma and now Deep Six project, that is the only business we know. We understand that TAG "may" licensee out the right, etc , for further development "if" someone comes along and wants that licensee. If third parties are being sought after .. great. .but if we have to wait three years for more, than effectively TAG is out of business that we might be interested in. We don't play a game of 'pursuing legal matters' here at Tides, we play war games .. Multi Play games.

There is NO falling out here at Tides (with Kelly or TAG or Deep Six project).
As to the falling out, no falling out is one sided.
This 'falling' out is one sided I'm sorry to say. TAG, Kelly or anyone of official capacity is welcome to post on Tides.. in Enigma .. or Deep Six forums, or any of our forums. Your most welcome to inform our members (and your future customers) of any developments for TAG or Deep Six or any other efforts that TAG or Kelly is pursuing as always and, so long as said topic is 'gaming' in nature.
If you want to ask "hard questions", try asking me directly since anyone else's responses will generally prove to be conjecture, bias and wishful thinking.
These forums and our members ARE asking you directly and have been asking you directly, if you don't respond, then others including Tides attempt to inform the members, the best we can. Frankly sometimes 'wishful' thinking is fun and all we have to look forward to. Tides is not bias. Conjecture is from lack of information and sometimes a matter of opinion. Our members have the right to ask hard questions in a public forum if they so desire (so long as it gentleman like), or in email by your invitation, it is their choice to make, Tides does not dictate. I like public questions and answers myself, even the hard ones, seems there is more truth and real information from the sources that way. If there are any errors, accept our aplogies and lets keep the readers and member correctly up to date :)
The Topic here was posted on Aug 19th .. there had been ample time to respond so that NO erroneous reports or replies would have gone unanswered. I really don't see any 'error' here that was not self inflicted, we all had the same impressions.

Frankly, we just want a Naval game to play with as much quality as possible in a multi-play environment .. real MP. Tides is not a business, just a gaming community where the member like to get help, chat, dream and hope for the best to come. We speak our mind and give everyone opportunity to present their questions, thoughts and feelings. What we don't want is a carrot on a stick for many years and still no product. Its a great benefit for all when the Dev Team speaks with the members and interacts, and a liability for all when the Dev Team does not speak.
