Timeline Creational Posibilities

#1
Having a bit of a ponder as to what weapons would be possibly created through necessity of this alternate timeline, as in all wars conflict concentrates the creative process in more efficient ways to kill the other side so in reality this alternate timeline would not be any different.
Will the factions over time get unique new advanced weapons and will these things be stolen by the other factions, could there be critical missions in the multiplayer environment that will effect the outcome of subsequent missions.

If so how would this be implemented?

As this game is ocean or sea based will land / air based events run alongside the timeline within which ERT is based and could these things influence the game as a whole?

Will ERT rewrite the facts of war and relegate the effect of air superiority? I know the US won't have a forward operating base of Britain to operate from this time!

Would it be inevitable that because of the lack of persecution of the Jews that originally happend that a lot of the top minds will have stayed in Europe under the Kaiser?, and will this have a bearing on what level of advancement that the Americans will have in say the field of nuclear warfare?

Are the game creators going to stick to a safe between WWI - WWII style of technology?

Would the VW Beetle ever have been born?

All this will obviously be very intresting to watch as time goes on, in a way I both pity and envy the game creators, the posibilties are great but implementing them could be a nightmare, especially as it is an alternate on reality rather than just say sci-fi or fantasy.

Good luck guys

PS any chance of Sonic/magnetic Homing Cluster Torpedoes Image
i hope nucler power is not invented and Einstine Fogets about E=MC2 for the good of the world.  magnetic torpedos may attack each other or worse attack you.  if your the enemy
milligoon,
You have hit on something that we are right now even working on.  The technology balance is very delicate.  One of the things we are doing is preventing a headlong rush timewise.  Until multiplayer it's day for day.  Come multiplayer it will be nearly so.

Technology will still progress, different countries will have different results.  Great minds still exist, they just have different motives and locales.

Rocketry, Radar, Radiation.....3 BIG balance issues for us...

Watch for the upcoming changes to warfleet.net including our engineers diary, this day in history and a special "best of" idea discussions summary section.

Did I mention we now have 3 writers for the project to help handle this?

East,
Like everyone, I'm looking forward to being part of the player community and having an input into this.  It's going to be great!  :D

For your 3 R's: as long as they have significant downsides to make them risky or unreliable (or some way of negating the huge impact) they'll be great additions to the game... not sure about radiation though....

Edit:

Maybe change of mind:  "A small group of escorts equipped with radar and radio DF saw off the largest group of u-boats ever assembled", BBC Battle of the Atlantic

It will certainly be worth looking forward to by the sounds of it even if it takes a lot of my time up  :D
I for one would not relish the developement of nuke depth charges dropped by Mozzies or Sunderlands.

Will all the missions be out in the open sea or are there going to be port incurssions and blockades?
Once we get done with multiplayer, land is our next milestone.  Our intention is to have ports, rivers, etc. so blockades and the like will be part of the game.
