I think I have installed a pretty slick routine and procedure and you can test it on the SNATF site.. just click on "images" in the menu list.

> It's not set up perfect, ran out of time.

> Thumbnails are not being produced and I'm not sure why yet.

> A 're name' and swap procedure I set up should be use so all bolter has to do is make a couple of moves and the process is complete... i.e. weekly new slide shows. Later I fix it so there is a choice of weeks to view.

If you keep the images the size they are now, the bottom part of the slide show won't dissappear .. and the images won't burn up to much bandwidth.

I have installed the second part of the slide show, now there is an index so you can look thru the various weeks. I still have a little more work to do on this , I need to make a directory structure that is easy for Bolter to work with . .ie date formate with a "Directory Template"

Will explain when we next talk Bolter ..

I have installed part three.

Now a 150xhight thumb of "Pic of the Week is displayed on the Tides Front Page.

If you click on the 'thumb' it will take you directly into the pictures of the week slide show.

All that Bolter needs to remember is that the image named: tow_feature_thumb.gif in the main gfx images will always be posted on Tides Front Page .. so whatever gfx is posted with that name in the snatf/gfx directory will be used on the front page.

The image must NOT be any wider than 150 pixels, best results is exactly 150 picels.

Don't worry .. be happy .. !!

Damn song haunts me ..

I know that we need to document certain things for you in ref to the site and how to move files about weekly and co-ordinate with the forums etc.

I know that it may seem complicated to you at first, naturally, because its all new and not what you are used to .. I understand that .. and the need for you to have a 'write up' to refer to.

You should be able to 'pin' a topic in this area . .feel free to do so and I will understand there is something there of importance to you. Then I will review and make a composite document for you so you will have the start of a procedural manual in fact.. :)
