Misssion 10a 10b United States

In this mission I start with a group of DD, DE, subs protecting a convoy.A horde of RNE DD(alliance class) about 6K Yards to my ssw, 3 nasty rne subs at about 6k yards to my nnw. Which makes for a bad day, but just to make it even more fun, they throw in the HOOD which is a BC (cruiser on steriods) 8k yards to ssw, with 14 inch guns which can sink me in one shot at well over 10k yards. It has cruiser armor, which means 5" rounds that hit it just make it angry, and when it gets angry I see a bright yellow light. I am dead before torpedoes hit, what am I suppose to do? The convoy is not going to out run that, heck My DD can't out run that. The Bright yellow light I see in my view finder when Da Hood notices my soda can and stomps it, is pretty. Wait thats my ship going boom! >;(. If I don't sink the hood, it will eat the entire fleet all by itself. So how do you pass this mission???? <_ oh it also its flying boats for breakfast.>

Search thru these forums. There are a several threads regarding these particular missions. You can get a lot of good advice here. Took me about 40 tries or so, but I finally beat them.
