lol Tizzi, was thinking about posting the same thing :D

So yeah i'm up for it.

I do think we need to change looting rules a bit for these runs. After patch 1.10 everyone can get a new class armor set that is alot better then current blue class sets. I think most will want to get those pieces. But in order to be able to get them you need the tier 0 class set. The way it's gonna work is that you get a quest to upgrade your tier 0 armor piece to the new tier 0.5 armor piece, so you need the tier 0 to complete the quest. Sad thing is that you need all the pieces. I think you start out with a quest to update your bracers and when you've done that you get a quest for the next armor piece.

I doubt there are many people who have their complete class sets. I know i have only 1 piece :D. Never really bothered getting the set, because for me it's quite crappy. Think the mage set focusses too much on +int and i like +sta alot too to keep me alive, and the set bonusses are crap. But the new sets look much more promising. Don't know all the stats and pieces yet, but what i saw looks really promising. So i would like to get my tier 0 class set to be able to upgrade to the new set and i think there will be more who want the same.

So this means that i would like looting rules changed abit. Normally the rule is that you roll need if you gonna equip the piece right there and its an improvement to what you have now. I would like to change that for these farming raids so that you can roll need on your class set item, even if you're not gonna equip it now, and that all other classes pass. Offcourse if a item drops and there is no-one from that class everyone that can use it can roll need, with the exception of boe class items. I would rather have it we save it for a member that's not online but still needs it for his class set.

So what do ya think?

[edit: I've just realised having posted this reply that I'm on the DA forum, and not in the Tribes forum I thought I was reading... please don't think that I'm trying to suggest to you how to set DA policies; I'll leave the post as potentially relevant for allied-guild raids anyway, but feel free to remove is you prefer]

Raids sound like a good plan, time and other events/runs permitting.

Thought I'd comment on Wig's looting thoughts about class-set item drops (which I'm primarily agreeing with), by reference to the rules that FI generally operate on (similar to most peoples I think).

For class-set drops:

1. in FI we would normally allow a class-set item to be rolled on _whether or not_ the person would immediately equip it as an upgrade (which is what you're suggesting, just noting that we do this by default for any class-set item that the party member does not have, and wants)

2. second choice, is a Need by other class, if none of specific-class want the item

3. third choice is either

- allow a 'need' by party-member for an Alt, if BoE

- send to upcoming other guild member for BoE

- disenchant for guild stores if enchanter present

- /roll for it for vendoring

Note that we dont actually have these written down anywhere, but this is generally how it works.

For allied-guilds runs, I think (1) and (2) make sense (these agree with your suggestion, although I note that (1) is not standard DA behaviour) but (3) is worth a little more thought on how to handle most fairly.

For BoP items on which all have passed, and no-one has an alternative class need, I think simple a /roll for d/e or vendor is appropriate, as normal (possible alternative would be if anyone wanted a 'spare' - not sure why though)

For BoE, I suggest that everyone rolls, and the item goes to that person to be sent on to anyone in that guild who will use it. This could also be a suitable rule for any items such as blacksmith/alchemy/tailor BoE plans for mixed groups where the right profession is not present?

As.

@scuzz - note that the Ahn Qiraj opening event is (supposedly) happening tonight, so most people are likely to be in Silithus, and there may well be serious server lag tonight as the subsequent 'war' ensues after the gates open.

Hi Asbach,

No problem with posting here. Always good to know others opinions :D

As for the tier 0 class items i think we don't have any real rules to that because it doesn't happen alot that once's class item drops and someone else wants it too (at least i never experienced that yet). And next to that i think alot of people agree with me that there is much better gear out there, so the set wasn't that important. I don't see many Death Angels running in full class sets, in fact i can't think of any :)

The new 0.5 sets and all sets above that have class restrictions anyway. So you could never use an item from another class, so there's never a need there :D
