Client Crash..

Alright I followed all the instructions to get my missions to work.

However when I open the game go to my patrol and once i scroll down select Custom the game close's..

ideas? lol

yep.. my first idea would be you got a crash to desktop error.

I can probably look at your files and show you the mistakes, but to really understand and learn where you went wrong the best method would be walk you through it while talking to you live over the teamspeak server when I have time.

There is a forum for custom missions where we repeatedly announced a few errors that are common to make.. and they were difficult for me to understand at first, even though the instructions were in black and white. So now that I understand it for myself, I know how it is to tell someone, go here, delete this, backspace that, change something, and save... and expect them to follow written directions is rough because this kind of customizing is so ... customized and I have no idea what changes you made. Every alphabetic or numerical digit in your file could be the ONE mistake we are looking for. Even blank spaces could be the error. Or where you hit the TAB key, could make the difference.

Na I fixed it, the only problem im having now is playing a battleship. I cant seem to be able to play it. I downloaded the SleepyD cheat and everything, also set player to battleship in the mission editor. But still cant play a BB... its bugging me all i want to do is play with the big bb lol...

thats one of the things you cant do in a custom mission.. only in the patrols built into the game.

I thought people said they played BBs in custom missions before, but they dont work in patrols eather. I have tryed to cheat in the downloads and it still dont work. I use the id SleepyD which is what it is supposed to be.

You CAN play as the BB's in the tactical patrols if you have completed one of the campaigns for the IGN or RNE first, or copied someone elses completed campaign file to your folder, but not if the USA is the only campaign you completed, because the USA does not unlock the BB.

You CANNOT play as the BB in a custom patrol, but you can add BB's to the list of ships that will appear in the battle.

yes I understand that. I am saying I DOWNLOADED the cheat (files) located at http://enigma.tidesofwar.net/index.php?showtopic=466 under "Enigma Saved Game Cheat"

Im trying to say I put this missions under the Enigma folder, and used the right playername for the folder. Yet I still cannot select BBs in the Tactical Patrols.

you also have to play as SleepyD.

put cheat here: c:\program files\...\enigma....\SleepyD

put SleepyD as player name in your Prefs.

Im not a total noob lol, yes i did all that. Still dose not give me a option to select a BB to play.

check with the campaigns and see if SleepyD has completed either LFN or KLM camp. you may have accidently overwritten the save.
