..also perhaps liners etc. that have been converted into transports. Maybe troop transports as well....
Absolutely!

Some of White Star's Titanic class vessels were converted for military and Red Cross use. Being able to snk the Brittanic or Olympic and see her go down like in the movie would be damned cool. :D

olympic was converted, but sorry, mate, britannic sank in WW1! ...although, i do belive the mauritania (lustania's sister ship) was converted for troop transportation... and, since lusitania still lives in E:RT, maybe she will be in the game as well! 8-)

As i said in my post about the lusitainia the cunard liners were designed, and part paid for by the Admiraltry, with the purpose that they would be turned into cruisers in the event of war. They were faster then any of the ships in the royal navy during WW1
