Torpedo Red? Green?

what does it mean when I am told a torpedo is red? or green?

That is Navy for Port and Starboard - Green is Starboard (right looking towards the bow) and Red is Port (left looking towards the bow). The game has it reversed so if you hear "Green" look to your left or Port side, Red of course is right or Starboard.

Port and Starboard on any vessel is always orientated facing the bow. If you're facing Aft it can get a bit confusing.

During General Quarters on a naval vessel you always go forward and up on the Starboard side and aft and down on the Port side.
