Gold Patch Problem

Well where in the world are you from?

3.0.0 is the Euro Intl Gold

3.0.1 is the US intl Gold

There should be a version number in the upper left corner when you start the game

Where does the game install to by default?

In the small window, when the game first boots up, it says "international version." I didn't notice a version number is displayed there. The box has a battleship on it. I didn't notice anything on the install disk except "Gold Edition". If there is a version number I haven't seen it.

I bought the game in Michigan a few days ago.

OK so you prolly have 3.0.1, i wonder if it has allready been patched, have to ask East or maybe Maxim knows (i think he has the us gold too)

The start up screen says international, not U.S. I have not found evidence of a version number anywhere. Since the printing on the disk does not say what version of enigma gold it contains perhaps international disks were but in U.S. boxes.

Its the same game but legals and such things forces the version numbers to be different, and the US rls of the gold came much later than the EU.

Since you bought it in the US Im confident that it is 3.0.1 from Dreamcatcher, and not from Pointsoft.

If you purchased the new Enigma: Rising Tide - Gold Edition, please note that the correct credits for the game are located on the PDF manual that is included on the game CD.

The quick start guide unpacked from the disk has 49 instances of the word version. None seem to refer to the game version number.
