Check back here soon concerning 'Battle Groups'. Tides of War will make a statement concerning a Tides of War Project called "Enigma Battle Groups".
Battle Groups will be back.
What is holding up 'Battle Groups' is the building of a battle groups project team. The current team does not have the 'expertise' in the area we need help in now. Interested in joining that team? Drop me a line via PM this board and we will get the ball rolling.
Battle groups site as you knew it.. will be called "Faction Action". This area of Enigma is the competition between players and factions. This part of Tides of War Enigma Rising Tide eXtra Play (E:XP) is player driven. TAG supports the concept, TAG helps the team members where possible, TAG provides testing etc, but they are NOT the current project. TAG spends their time on current issues and multi-play for obvious reasons. Currently, the Action Faction site is for single play; However, when Multi-play comes about we will take everything we have learned to date and apply it towards Multiplay and Faction Action will be split into two parts..i.e. XP and MP. MP is a TAG project and Tides and Tides Battle Groups will take the lead from TAG 'faction action'.
Enigma Multiplay = TAG. Tag spends there time on this project ( like we want them too).
Enigma Faction Action = Tides of War, and YOU the player. This is our project...i.e We the players. Would you like to know more?
Faction Action is the place Tides will list all the Enigma Factions that want to be listed as an official Tides Enigma League Member. This applies to 'clubs' of course, otherwise known as 'flotillas', 'squadrons', 'wolfpack's, clans, groups, .etc. We do not intend to clutter the main Enigma board with forums for each group or faction that comes along. There will simply be a link to 'Faction Action' which will take you to the Faction Action site. Faction Action is the place where our Tides Factions will compete so that our 'battle group's can compete with 'other' Enigma Player Leagues for yearly competition and bragging rights. Our vision is that one day there will be specialized battle groups that concentrate on particular areas such as Land, Surface, Submerged, and by Air. We don't know the role of land lubbers at this time ...
Faction Action is where you can find the results of various competitions, especially player vs. player, and group vs. group. We have all that software installed. Official Tides battle groups will have forum space, web space, Team Speak Channels, private IM channels, group email and more. The 'Assassins' is an independent battle group or clan and is an example of a small ERT group registered with Tides of War.
Faction Action is where you can find out about sources, clubs, faction action outside of Tides, as well as other 'official' information.

The Faction Action Team , internal to Tides is called Project Battle Groups. Project Battle Groups covers not only enigma Rising Tides Groups.. but other groups as well.
