Great Naval Battles Of North Atlantic

I'm sure I've got some stuff from SSI but not that one. I've got an old "688I Hunter Killer" by Janes that I used to think was really cool. Haven't even tried it lately so I'm not sure how it runs on the new systems. Here is a link that does a review about it and two other Janes naval games.

Says the 688I was used to train guys in the navy on the workings of a nuclear sub. It is very accurately done. Voice command would have been sweet with this one.

I played GNB2: Guadalcanal when I was in middle school. One of the biggest reasons I went Navy.

Seriously, awesome game, especially when combined with campaign mode. You could do jobs at all levels of ship, task force and fleet organization. It was pretty crazy. Very quickly I learned to respect the IJN's skill at nighttime surface attacks (mostly courtesy of losing three CVs in the first three weeks when I played the campaign). I also learned that the USS Washington is the greatest BB ever floated, defeating the Yamoto, Fuso and Musashi in three seperate engagements. Only sunk the Fuso, the the other two were crippled and the Cactus Air Force caught up with them come daybreak.

Seriously, if someone could just give the series a 3D makeover, I would be in heaven.
