German Subs - A Little Meak?

just a few comments and suggestions here..

I have played the demos, and earlier versions of Enigma, and I have noticed that the type VII and the type IX are pretty weak compared to their LFN and RNE couterparts.. Why is this? The Germans had the best of everything in WW2. Their BF-109's cound out-climb anything, and out-shoot anything that the Royal Airforce could throw at them, their tiger and king-tiger tanks were unstoppable. MG42 is still the only WW2 machinegun today that is stil in operation today with just a few modifcations. and The Germans also developed the world's first Assault Rifle - the STG44.....

So why are their Subs so weak compared to the rest?

most type IX and type VII subs had 2 deck guns 105/45 , as well as either a twin 20mm and a single 37mm, or 2 single 20mm and a single 37mm.

I noticed in earlier versions you had 2 deck guns on I think it was the IX? can't quite remember.. but now there is only one. Also no ability to lay sea mines? most u-boats had these as well.

Just a suggestion.. I know this is "alternative history" but the specs are fairly accurate.. why not beef u the germans so they have something to comapre to the other factions... Like put in a walter type XIII boat that could dive up to 270-280m and had a snorkle so it could travel underwater as long as it had fuel....

What do you mean by weak? I find the VII and IX far more superior than its US/RN ones.

The VII has a 3" Deckgun, 1x20mm AA gun and machineguns

The IX has a 3" Deckgun and 2x twin 20mm AA guns or were one of them a 40mm AA, I forgot.

Seamines and Snorkles are not yet added to the game.

The IX is actually the one that can dive deepest

The sub with 2 deckguns is the RNE one, it has always been the only one that had 2.

Also, I think you're doing a little rewriting of history yourself with the descriptions of some of the historical WWII weapons you mentioned.
