I was one of the players who downloaded and installed the Beta. i uninstalled the game reinstalled and patched. Still had mission data. Do I need to totally remove all ERT game componets and reinstall? I still feels like it's the beta that is running.

just keep your player directory. Remove everything else.

Love the patch guys! Didn't install the beta, waited until the final. I like the new interface and the new depth charge controls (I'm a surface chap for the moment, playing the corvettes).

Can someone please talk me through the new torpedo bearing info? Is that relative - how do I understand the heading info that's given for incoming torpedos now?

bump - anyone able to help a non-maritime person on the heading info?

Headings are in 360 degrees, a full circle.

90 degrees is East.

180 degrees is South.

270 degrees is West.

360 degrees is North.

If that's what you're looking for...

u dont understand the torpedo bearing info....

Look at where u are in the compass...

listen to the person that inform u the torpedo bearing....

thats where the torpedo coming from....

"Incoming Torpedo at 1000 Miles South West"

So dont headed to or from South West....

Thanks for the replies guys. i understand the bearings (ie I know which direction 90 degrees is), but is it reported relative to me? ie - If the report is torpedo off the bow, heading 90 degrees, does this mean:

1. It is 90 degrees off my bow, or

2. The torpedo's heading is 90 degrees (a compass heading)?

3. Something else?
