do you have to complete both Sub and surface campagnes to earn a Battlecruiser or either?

I finished 10b last night on new patch and no Battlecruiser crybaby:
I have checked the logs I completed all German surface missions. Am I missing something. I wiped out all saved missions when I reinstalled the new patch. so it was clean when I started through them again.

Go to patrols, select the last one of the patrol options (tactical), now select any fare and choose your vessel

Everyone who goes to Enigmacon will receive an Assassin Class Battlesub with 15" guns capable of being fired from periscope level. It will also have front, rear, port and starbord firing torps. It will take roughly 20 torps to sink it. It will be available for multiplayer.
Oh I almost forgot. it can outrun a PT Boat.

Hey! You forgot about the Submarine Launched Anti-Aricraft Missles and three detachable torpedo boats.Didn't you all hear?
