Don't know if any of you saw it, there was a well presented documentary covering some of the ships lost in the 1982 Falklands war on BBC2 tonight. The basis of the decision to sink the General Belgrano was particularly interesting, as was the matter-of-factness of the men who did the job they had trained to do despite the most adverse conditions.

It was in many ways the end of an era for the Royal Navy.
