wave: thanks for that Buxton I have visited the site and that of the Bismark and many sub info sites available on the web good on ya! at lot of the younger guys can probably get a better idea of the stress of real life warfare beneath the waves by reading the logs of some of these brave captains from the Axis.A lot of them were honerable men of compassion, especially when we look back at the situation and stress that they operated in.In a diifferent environment they may have been heroes to us all.My grandfather on my wifes side was a famous dirt track bike rider in the 1930's he broke every bone in his body. His name is Max Grosskreautz and he was born in Australia of German parents in the North Queensland sugar cane town of Proserpine. He decided at an early age that he was not cut out to be a cane farmer.
