So does it? I'm not too sure if it does. I guess one tactic a sub could use to avoid a destroyer attack would be go ahead flank, go deep, cut engines rig for silence and then turn a direction and use momentum to carry them. The enemy would then lose your signal and depth charge the wrong area. However does the AI lose contact with you at all? if so whats the point of silent running?
