Tides of War

G'day all,

Just downloaded the two main demos a couple of days ago and so far I'm a certainty to buy this! Never played a naval game or sim before, but this one has me hooked. From the first time I fired up the UK demo in the corvette and saw the swell rolling in I was there.

The weather and the waves are brilliant and I really like the look of the graphics - a bit washed out. I haven't killed a sub yet in the corvettes, but I'm getting closer. It's tough, but it takes tactics and patience and that's what I like.

Now, if I can find this in the shops here in Australia (or if my ebay bid wins) I'll be seeing you on the virtual seas...

I'm from Australia and I bought it, its selling for around $70 at EB. If its not at your store ask them to get one for you - I'm sure they'll have no problems with it.

Oh btw, if you want more control in combat I suggest you get a microphone so you can bark orders

One minor problem I have - which patch to use? theres the UK retail patch and the US retail patch? I've tried to use the UK retail patch and every single time I try to use it - it says 'bad install' and doesn't install the patch.

No patch needed for Aussie version. See Jesper's 1st post on this thread.

Actually there is an Aussie patch - available from the AURAN website (our publisher there).
