A Couple Of Questions

First just let me start by saying that East and all the people over at Tesseraction Games have a done a fabulous job with this game. I have never played a sub game that has been so enjoyable and not so 'simmy' like other games.
Secondly, I have been trying to read has many of the posts that I can. I've learned a lot from people such as East, Buxton, Jesper, Old Yellowstain and many others. Just wanted to say thanks to you all.
Now for the questions: I've found through reading some posts that the people on the surface ships can be captured when their boat is sunk. When a sub gets depth charged at 150 ft. and it capsizes, I assume that the crew is lost.
What will happen to the player in the sub? Will people die? Will there be respawning? Will it be more advantageous to be on a surface ship to be able to play longer?
I am wondering if there will be places for the more timid players to be spectators in the game (like in that awesome zeppelin I saw)? At a cheaper price?
I've heard rumors of trading/supplying options for the players not wanting to be captains. I think that is an excellent idea. Working for factions, refueling/ supplying ships, being protected by a hoard of destroyers on the open seas.
