Captain James Tiberius Kirk never believed in a no win scenario. During his training at Starfleet Academy he was the only one to ever beat the test. Not because of the superior tactics, but because he added a subroutine in the training program that altered the conditions of the test. Altering conditions of a fight to work them in your favour is part of that fight. So well done Kirk and well done CIAsniper and T-bar.
