Why You Should Always Carry A Rack Of Torpedo Launchers.

As has happened before, I setup an STF match, we start the match, one person drops.

I give them the room name and password, the game tells them it's full, and our team is down to 4.

In a tanky cruiser, lacking dps would not have been a problem, had I been able to fit more top launchers to smack down structures and had a tac bridge officer ready to swap in to do High Yield torps....but I didn't 8-(

We finished KSE, w/o getting the optional, it just took us longer to get it done.

With much experience running a Tac Pilot, I can attest that the difference in damage output vs borg structures with or without torpedoes is night and day.

Though mines are equally effective, if you are in a cruiser, and have to get close to the gates to drop them, you're more likely to get destroyed by the gate.

Give some thought to the extra gear you should be carrying on your ship for such situations. 8-)
