SNL (KTF) GAME RESULTS BSS vs GE 03/21/09

Last nights SNL match was a blast!! We had 6 BSS pilots and 3 Rb Pilots flying with us. Considering in was a rag tag make up of pilots I think we did pretty well. Congratulations are in order for BSS_Bestia who was the high scorer in the first 1/2 with 12 kills.

First half score we BSS 12 GE 46

Second Half BSS -2 GE 74.

The major problem was not enough people understand how this game is played and it is something we need to talk about. Yesterday our FLAG tag was flow by Tango. The reason Tango was flying the FLAG tag was because earlier we were flying in Saturday night open teams and he was flying an LA7 With his FLAG tag on. I was also flying with a FLAG tag but I was flying and LA5. Knowing that Tango is pretty good in a LA7 I ASSUMED that Tango had enough rank to let him fly the LA7 in the match. Can anyone tell me what happens when we assume something???? I'll help you out with it. To Assume something makes and ASS out of U and ME. ASSUME. Therefore we will not assume any more. Just like I am not going to assume that you have read the rules. If you do not read the rules, why fly in the game. It just makes it tougher for our team to be organized.

Here is a simple game plan for this type of game. It all revolves around one plane, our FLAG. Our FLAG has to do all of our scoring. PERIOD. If you read the rules you will see how the scoring is calculated.

OUR FLAG MUST BE PROTECTED: We cannot have our flag shot down. Especially by the opposing teams flag. 10 points to the opposing team.

WE MUST PROTECT EACH OTHER: If the enemy flag kills you, 3 points to the opposing team. (In this case kill the opposing teams flag to prevent a score.)

DO NOT COLLIDE WITH THE OPPOSING TEAMS FLAG: opposing team gets 5 points.

THE FLAG CANNOT CRASH, DOWN OR COLLIDE WITH A TEAM MATE: We lose -5 points from our score. (Last night we gave the opposing team 5 points at the start because of a crash.)

OUR FLAG MUST NOT BE SHOT DOWN BY AA FIRE: We lose -10 points from our score.

HERE IS THE ONLY WAY, YOU THE NON_FLAG PILOT CAN SCORE: 1 point for killing the opposing teams flag. We need the big points so why kill the opposing teams flag? We have to set our team flag to make the kill.

Hey mate just a real faaaaasat post from me......... Sure I didn't know the rules, i did just out of shear drunkeness end up covering the flag on more than a few occasions, now i've never flown anything like this before, it was late, i was drunk but hell it was fun for me regardless
