Well, I'd like to fly with a squad that has regular missions and training. I've been flying since Combat Flight Simulator days but can't say I am too good expect against AI as I've never kept with it. Many squads demand that you only fly with them, so not sure how things are here. I'm with CSG but as I said, it's only a few of us doing ANY gaming lately....so it would be great to get mingling with others who game on a regular basis. If we transfer our flag, so be it. Perhaps some joint ops at first though? I can gather the other couple active pilots we have.
I have 409b1m with the AAA mod. I'd like to continue that if possible. TBar and I have chatted for years....I try and touch base now n then.
I can do carrier landings

I'm primarily a navy simmer and have been good at carrier landings. We played Did (Dead Is Dead) with Virtual pilot personas, so if you died in the mission, your pilot was dead and you had to start a new one. My navy pilot did awesome in the Hellcat. We have tons of AAR (After Action Reports) if you would like some reading material
As far as 100% realism, I would probably suck a bit more at first. Again, it would come in time and training I suspect. I always fly with the cockpit on. Situational awareness and spins get me now and then.
Cheers!

We will consider your offer to fly some missions alongside MCVG-2 in any official capacity but the Groups leadership team will need to discuss this before we make any solid promise to the CSG. Does the CSG have a web site ? If so, please post that link if possible.
In order to fly effectively with the MCVG-2 in any online COOP setting under v.409b1m, you will want a solid foundation in carrier operations at the full realism level. That would be take off and landings flying the following the "aircraft".
1. F4U-1D
2. F6F
3. SBD-5
4. TBM-3 (Requires a solid understanding of this AC's flight characteristics in game for take off and landing from a CV.)
The Group typically flies against AI in our official missions with the random addition of some online players as well flying Japanese enemy aircraft. Typically fighters...
The Groups "training" as well as "official missions" are organized for inhouse pilots who are apart of organized flights, squads within our "Group". Our table of organization is larger than a typical online squad that supports our historical theme.
If there is only (4) pilots who fly on any regular basis with your flight, consider joining the MCVG-2 as a whole. We can offer you an assessment flight pilot program to go through prior to being "signed off" and assigned to one of our internal squadrons within the Group for any official missions etc. The assessment program is designed to evalute the new pilots interest as well as flying skills under a controlled COOP Mission sortie for joining our type of Group.
If you aren't interested in our offer for membership, you may be able to fly assigned missions in the near future on an organized server that will cater to naval flight operations using such maps as the "Slot, Philippines, B-29 Alley" etc. You will need these specific maps downloaded in order to join the server and fly when its online and running. Perhaps within the next month. Will see..
The Group flies the new version 409b1m as well as v.408 standard and mod as necessary but we fly the 409 beta primarily.
If you are interesed in learning more and are considering joining the MCVG-2, please contact me at the following email;
