I bought a Linksys router a few days ago and I haven't been able to get in the game unless I unplug the computer from the router and connect it directly to the modem. If anyone has a Linksys router or knows how to fix this problem on the Linksys router could you help me out? I know I am supposed to open some ports but I am not sure where to go and since its not installed in the computer, more like connected and working, I can't go to the program files where I would expect to find the port settings. If no one can help then its ok, I'll just do what I said earlier everytime I play.

I have seen that page. The problem is that I don't know where to place the IP. I only see a TO and FROM port and 1 IP column with my IP in it.

EDIT: There is no TO and FROM ports. They say Start and End. Can I assume that End means TO and that Start is the same as FROM?

I am not going to mess with what I know nothing about. I'll just disconnect my router and connect directly to my modem whenever I play AA. Thanks for replying JoKeR.

I don't think the IP is a problem. The Ports are what you are worried about.

Try just opening up the ports in the ranges stated. Another thing you might try is to just turn off the firewall on the router to see if you can play with the router hooked up. If you can than the problem is the ports. If not, then try opening the ports. Also, make sure that you are not running 2 firewalls at the same time

Linksys routers don't like the Windows Firewall working at the same time. Make sure your Firewall on your PC is disabled. Just some thoughts.

That post that Tbar put up didn't have Air Attack on the list, but I used it as an example as to how it should look and with the help of JoKeR's post I was able to quickly find the ports I needed open. Thanks for helping me out guys. See you in the skies!!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, is the static IP really important? Could using my router IP put me at risk of anything? I saw a

'create static IP' option but I read the info on the router page and it had a whole lot of stuff I didn't understand completely so I just used my router's IP.
