Are There E-boats?

Just got Enigma, and it looks like it's everything I was hoping it'd be! One question though: Under "Patrols", when I try to play the MTB training missions as German, I get a "No E-boats until 1938" message. Does that mean I have to progress until 1938 in a campaign to unlock them? Or are they just not (yet) in the game? PT boats and Vospers are fun, but I want an E-boat too!

E-Boats are in 1938 right, and 1938 starts in Chapter 2 (the next epsiode of Enigma) ETA christmas 2003

Aha, thanks for the info! Looking forward to it. Will that part be online-only, or will there also be a single-player version of 1938?
I've just now managed to sort of get the hang of the Vosper's funky angled tubes, so I think I'll be sufficiently occupied in the meantime

Chapter 2 is 100% standalone single player.
Tho the multiplayer client will be featured on the CD

are the chapters free? same with multiplayer, i know it costs $10-12 a month or whatever, but if allready bought the enigma game, do i have to pay for anymore software?

The future chapters are not free. there will be free patches/updates, and the MP client
